Seussical The Musical

At the time of production for "Seussical The Musical" Mountain Side Highschool had only an after school program as their entire theatre department. with no permanent drama teacher on staff and no theatre classes to take we relied on students of all grades who have never wielded a paint brush, much less a drill or saw.

With myself and spouse (Stab Stone) working full time jobs we pulled this off in a few weekends with 4 hour chunks of work time, while teaching the students all aspects of production, prioritizing both their learning experience and the integrity of the show.

Seussical was such a success, other schools in the area started to borrow set pieces for their own productions. this also highly increased interest in the Drama program at Mountain side High School increasing student participation by a significant amount for the following shows.
